WIFI Breakfast Hosted by Mannington Commercial @ NeoCon 2024 in Chicago

Early risers at NeoCon 2024 were in for a treat! On June 11th 2024, Mannington Commercial hosted a WIFI breakfast in their booth at NeoCon in Chicago, Illinois. Women from all over the flooring industry came together to sip coffee and hear all about WIFI’s programs.
Whitney Legate, Senior Vice President of commercial product for Mannington Commercial and WIFI board member, opened the event by sharing about WIFI’s power hours. These are monthly virtual calls focused on professional development topics that are free for anyone to join! She then introduced Brenda Knowles, Senior Vice President of customer experience for Shaw Industries and WIFI board member. Brenda invited everyone to join the upcoming Power Hour titled “A Leadership Conversation.” She shared that the power hour would be a conversation between her and Danielle Hunsicker, COO of Diverzify, all about their leadership journeys, what they have learned along the way, and what tips they have for women at all stages of their careers!
Next, Whitney shared a little bit about WIFI’s mentorship program with the group. The WIFI program is an adult-to-adult match of a mentor to a mentee designed to help participants grow professionally and personally. She then introduced Julie Borgognoni, communications marketing manager for Mannington Commercial.
Julie is a member of WIFI’s marketing committee and a recipient of a WIFI scholarship! She was eager to share about WIFI’s scholarship program with the group. These scholarships help women attend post-secondary education and continuing education programs, as well as gain industry-accredited certifications. Julie used hers to attend an exciting marketing conference.
It was a treat to see so many women from various professions in the flooring industry come together to connect, learn, and support one another. Thank you to Mannington Commercial for hosting such a wonderful event, and to everyone who attended!
