WIFI Brings Women In Flooring Together at FCI Convention in Cancun

On January 8, 2025, Women In the Floorcovering Industry (WIFI) hosted a happy hour at the Floor Coverings International (FCI) Annual Convention in Cancun, Mexico. This inaugural event brought together 80 attendees, including women franchise leaders, owners, partners, staff, and vendor partners.

The purpose of the happy hour was to introduce attendees to WIFI and highlight how the organization can support women in the flooring industry through education, mentorship, and connection. Jackie Adams, senior director of Operations, new franchise development for Floor Coverings International, shared her vision for the event, "This was all about introducing WIFI to our franchise leaders - owners, partners, and staff - and inviting them to be part of something bigger. We also invited some amazing vendor partners, which made the evening even more special."

Chanel Clifford, vice president of national accounts for CALI, kicked off the event by introducing WIFI to the group and explaining how the organization helps women thrive professionally and personally.

Adams emphasized the key takeaway from the event as, “. . . for these women to join WIFI, go back to their communities, and use what they’ve learned to connect with others and ‘do good’ in their local networks. WIFI offers so many opportunities for growth and education that can really make a difference in their lives and businesses."

This happy hour was a fantastic opportunity to connect, inspire, and celebrate the women making waves in the flooring industry. Here’s to more events like this and a bright future for women in flooring!
