Las Vegas, NV. - Feb 3, 2025 - Mohawk Industries strengthened its support of women in the flooring sector with a $50,000 pledge to Women in the Floorcovering Industry (WIFI) during a January 29 networking event at The International Surface Event (TISE).

The announcement came during WIFI's celebration of its 2024 achievements at Mohawk's TISE booth, where TISE Show Director Amie Gilmore, who is a member of the WIFI board, highlighted the organization's expanded reach through mentorship and educational programming.

"Our mentoring program has been a game-changer, with over 120 participants," Gilmore said, noting that WIFI's Power Hour series drew more than 700 participants throughout the year.

The most recent recipients included: Jennifer Roundtree from Universal Fibers, Madison Adams from Palziv NA, Landon Lambert from Mohawk, and Emily Perkins, who owns Carpetland of New England in Connecticut. Perkins shared how she is able to use the scholarship and what it meant to her.
